Riparian Stream Management

Which stream is better managed?  Which stream will not erode adjacent farm land or urban development?  How is stream and floodplain management learning new ideas of sustainable development practices.  A great workshop was held this past Saturday, on the Buffalo Creek in Cleburne Texas by the Natural Resource Conservation Service,  a divison of the US Dept of Agriculture and the Texas Master Naturalists.  Ricky Linex and Ken Mayben presented a wonderful day long workshop on the management of the stream riparian area to assure proper functioning condition and eco balance.    Thanks to Carrie McLaughlin of the Texas Master Naturalists and Buffalo Creek Stream Association.  Much to be learned from the art of doing nothing or little when it comes to streams and their management.  Pam, Joe and Jason enjoyed the experience and the knowledge given.    #Texas Master Naturalists, USDA, Riparian Stream Management, Sustainable Development Practices
